Jukka Salo

Physiotherapist

I have worked in the field of physiotherapy in Rovaniemi since 2002, focusing on musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation. My professional background includes 12 years as a physiotherapist for the Finnish National Cross-Country Ski Team, including three Winter Olympic Games, one Paralympic Games, and several World Championships for both adults and juniors. Currently, I also work as a physiotherapist for the Lapland Sports Academy and collaborate with Top Team athletes.

I specialize in lower limb therapy as well as lower back and lower limb conditions in children and adolescents (growing athletes). My educational background also includes movement control training, strength and conditioning, and skills coaching with formal coaching certification. In addition, I provide demanding medical rehabilitation funded by Kela.

My approach is to identify the root causes of problems or symptoms and, through that, find effective rehabilitation solutions. I use manual therapy techniques such as massage and fascial treatment, as well as a wide range of therapeutic devices and taping methods.

Personally, I am an active endurance athlete, and in my free time I assist with physical conditioning coaching for my son’s football team.

Clients of all groups are welcome to my practice — from competitive athletes to recreational exercisers and working professionals, and from children and adolescents to older adults.
