In an intensive rehabilitation programme, the client can focus on the essentials – getting back to the top of their performance. The weekly programme, built by medical, physiotherapy and coaching professionals, aims to rehabilitate injury, strengthen supporting muscles and improve mental wellbeing in a motivating environment. The rehabilitation pays holistic attention to the body to prevent injuries in the future.

    The service is aimed at athletes and active sportspeople who want to recover from their injury quickly and comprehensively – regardless of the severity of the injury.

  • Programme content

    The programme includes medical appointments, physiotherapy, allasterapy, coordination training, manual therapy and lymphatic therapy, as well as around 25 hours of guided rehabilitation per week. The doctor is available 24/7 and at the end of the treatment period the client receives a written summary and a home exercise programme.

  • Multidisciplinary team

    A multidisciplinary team is at the heart of our intensive rehabilitation – we combine medical, physiotherapy and coaching expertise into a seamless whole. Each member of the team brings their own expertise to the rehabilitation process, and together we ensure that the client receives a medically safe and physically and psychologically motivating rehabilitation process. The team works in close cooperation with the client’s goals, communicating with each other and, where appropriate, with the client’s own treating professionals.

    The Comeback Center is located in connection with Santasport Lapland Sports Academy in the natural surroundings of Ounasvaara. Our location enables us to offer our clients a wide range of training facilities, accommodation options, expert muscle care and coaching services, and the support of nutrition and testing experts. The Comeback Center is a 10-minute drive from Rovaniemi Airport and the train and bus stations are only 4 km away.

Each intensive rehabilitation period is planned according to individual needs, taking into account the nature of the injury, its duration and any surgical procedures performed.

Treatment and rehabilitation plan

An individual rehabilitation plan is drawn up for each client, based on a comprehensive assessment of the disability and personal goals. The plan includes approximately 25 hours of guided rehabilitation each week, including medical appointments at the beginning and end of the rehabilitation period. The rehabilitation team works closely with the client’s own doctor, physiotherapist and trainer, ensuring a seamless chain of care.

We understand that alongside physical recovery, mental wellbeing is an essential part of the rehabilitation process.
