The story of the Comeback Center
Experts at work
Tanja Poutiainen-Rinne
Olympic and world championship medallist, experience specialist
I competed in the Alpine Skiing World Cup for 17 years, including five Olympics, and retired at the age of 34 in spring 2014. Olympic silver in Turin, 4 World Championship medals and 3 crystal balls were my biggest achievements. I also suffered injuries during my career: two tibia fractures and a torn anterior cruciate ligament in my knee. My strengths are the experience of reaching the peak of performance and a strong understanding of what it takes to recover from an injury. At the Comeback Center, I focus on skill and coordination with the rehabilitator, as well as mentoring the rehabilitation process and overall rehabilitation.”
Pasi Lambacka
Physiotherapist (YAMK) OMT, certified sports physiotherapist
I have been working in physiotherapy since 1996. I specialise in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders through OMT physiotherapy and sports physiotherapy, where I also work as a trainer. I work as a physiotherapist in charge at the Lapland Sports Academy. I am also the physiotherapist of the Finnish Women’s Ice Hockey Team. My treatment methods are always based on the latest research, which, combined with my long experience, ensures safe and effective rehabilitation. In addition to manual therapy, I am proficient in various taping methods, therapeutic exercise, acupuncture treatments, brace making and fascia treatments.
Kari Vinkki
Physiotherapist OMT, certified sports physiotherapist
I am an OMT Physiotherapist with a long background in musculoskeletal disorders. I have worked as a physiotherapist for the Finnish National Ski Team at the Salt Lake City and Torino Olympics and have also worked at the World Championships. My clientele includes top summer and winter athletes from Rovaniemi and the surrounding area. I have a broad training in sports physiotherapy and a wide range of training in human movement and mobility and injury treatment.
Petri Kilpamäki
Physical therapist (YAMK)
I have worked as a physical therapist, treating musculoskeletal and neurological disorders in Rovaniemi since 2002. I have continuously developed my knowledge of musculoskeletal rehabilitation throughout my career with additional training. My clientele is a diverse group of people, from sports enthusiasts to elite athletes, including para athletes. Personally I have a background in mountain biking, triathlon and adventure sports.
Laura Gustavsson
Physiotherapist
I graduated as a physiotherapist in 2007 and as a lymph therapist (LYKO) in 2015. In addition, I am a certified sports physiotherapist and occupational physiotherapist. I have continuously sought to maintain and develop my professional skills through extensive further education in various areas of physiotherapy, including musculoskeletal physiotherapy, neurological rehabilitation, post-operative rehabilitation, temporomandibular joint (TMD) therapy, fascial treatments, and different taping techniques.
I also provide demanding medical rehabilitation services funded by KELA, including both individual therapy and hydrotherapy, and I make home visits when needed.
Since 2023, I have been working as the physiotherapist for the Finnish Women’s National Volleyball Team, and from 2017 to 2024, I worked with the Finnish Volleyball Federation’s youth national teams. I also served as the physiotherapist for PerPo’s men’s league team from 2017 to 2023, and since 2023, I have been the physiotherapist for Arctic Volley’s women’s league team.
Although volleyball as a sport has drawn me to work extensively within it, I treat athletes from various disciplines, as well as people from all walks of life — from working professionals and everyday exercisers to those with chronic conditions — at my practice
Johanna Davidila
Physiotherapist
I am a physiotherapist from Rovaniemi and work part-time as an independent practitioner.
At Comeback Fysio, my appointment hours are mainly in the evenings. In my main job, I work as a physiotherapist in specialized healthcare, focusing on surgery and traumatology.
Through both work and continuing education, I have gained strong expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and I strive to keep developing my professional skills alongside my work.
My main areas of interest include physiotherapy for upper and lower limb pain conditions, injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation, as well as rehabilitation after hip and knee replacement surgeries. I also have experience in hand therapy. Upon request, I can make home visits — for example, the first appointment after a joint replacement can be arranged at the client’s home if needed.
In my physiotherapy practice, in addition to therapeutic exercise, I also use manual therapy techniques, such as fascia treatment, joint mobilization, kinesio taping, cryotherapy (cold therapy), and massage. I am also currently training in Dry Needling.
You are warmly welcome to my practice.
If you can’t find a suitable time in the booking system, feel free to contact me by text message, and we can find a time that suits you.
